Stories · Support · Shared strength

Strength often comes in the smallest packages.

Real conversations with Australian families navigating birth defects, disability, childhood disease, intensive treatment and life beyond hospital.

A community shaped by lived experience.

Little and Strong polar bear inside a sage house

Little & Strong was inspired by our daughter Harper, who was born with a congenital heart defect.

Our family navigated a pregnancy filled with specialist appointments and unfamiliar words, followed by open-heart surgery, constant uncertainty and feelings of guilt and isolation.

We could not fault the professionalism and knowledge of Harper's healthcare team. But some questions needed another kind of answer—one from somebody who had lived it too.

We searched for Australian stories, podcasts and resources that felt relatable and came up short. So Little & Strong became the place we had needed.
